We played the lotto system according to Ken’s system and we actually did quite good.

If you have good discipline and can follow diections and want to win consistently, this is your system. Can You Really Improve Your Chances Of Winning The Lottery

The Lottery is a game of chance, with the odds stacked against you horrendously. In the UK National Lottery for example the chances of winning the jackpot by picking all 6 numbers from 49 is around 14 million to one. So how do you make these odds of a lottery win lower?

If you do a search online there are tons of places offering you their own take on improving your chances of a lottery win, these range from the unrealistic to the believable, but most will cost you quite a few lottery tickets to find out if they will work. You will see software programs which keep databases of all the lottery picking machines, and ball sets used in every draw, and statistically analyse the frequency of each number appearing in a lottery draw. These will then spit out sets of numbers which have shown up more often overall.

Yet another batch of products will take your money in return for their writers own system of picking winning numbers for which they will show proof of their lottery winning results. Some will sell you their set of numbers which has proven to win regularly over many months or years. And if you want to get really left of centre you can pay to have good luck, or money winning spells cast for you by modern witchcraft practitioners, or buy charms with as yet understood powers to influence the outcome of the draws in your favour.

But are there any other ways to increase your chances of winning the lottery?

The answer is yes, and one of the most obvious and overlooked methods is by joining a syndicate, you can leverage your stake by putting it with other peoples stakes to buy more tickets between you. More tickets each week means more chances of winning but you will also share the prizes won with everyone in the syndicate. You also need to be in a syndicate with people you can trust but that’s something only you can know.

Whichever way you look at it the lottery is a gamble, and the odds are stacked against you, but you can reduce those odds by working with others in a lottery syndicate.

The History Of Lottery

Lotteries have been with us for a long time. They go so far back that they’re mentioned in the Bible, and Caesar himself is known to have encouraged lottery games in Rome to help pay for repair work that needed to be done in the city. Legend has it that even the Great Wall of China was paid for by the proceeds of lottery games.

In medieval times, Europe was a hotbed of lottery activity. In 1420, residents of the French town of L’Ecluse decided to follow Caesar’s lead by using a public lottery to help raise money; this time to increase the town’s defenses. Charitable causes prompted officials in the Belgium city of Bruges to hold a lottery in 1466 to raise money for the poor and needy.

In the early 16th century, the Italians caught lottery fever when they introduced the idea of a ‘number’ lottery in Florence. Interestingly, the word ‘lottery’ is thought to originate from the Italian ‘lotto’, which simply means “fate”.

Royalty caught on to lottery’s moneymaking potential in 1520, when King Francis I of France held the first ever state lottery. The proceeds went to the Royal Court. Forty years later, in the 1560s, lottery fever crossed the English Channel when Queen Elizabeth I decided to hold her own state lottery to raise money to improve England’s ailing harbors. Her Majesty’s prizes included tapestry and money.

The lottery gained in popularity in England over the next two centuries. The British Museum in London, today one of the finest in the world, was actually started on the proceeds of a lottery in 1753.

Lotteries were particularly popular in the New World in the 18th century. Benjamin Franklin used one to pay for the cannons that helped win the American War of Independence, and they were also used to pay money to the army. The Mountain Road, one of the key routes into the west from Virginia, was paid for with a lottery organized by George Washington.

Individuals were fond of them too; Thomas Jefferson (the third U.S. President) sold most of his property through a lottery scheme. Many of America’s historic colleges and universities were initially set up with the proceeds of lotteries. Most notably, these include many of the universities in the prestigious Ivy League.

Within the last couple of centuries, lotteries have been legalized and implemented in pretty much every country in the world. As the numbers of people playing become bigger, so do the prizes; a jackpot in the USA’s Big Game lottery in 2000 reached $363 million.

How To Play Lottery

Just about every country in the world has its own version of the lottery and in the USA alone there are dozens of different rules depending on whether you play a state lottery or the national lottery. This article will list the common rules that exist for most versions of the lottery. Most states impose a minimum age limit on players, ranging from 16 to 21.

The game begins when the player receives a lottery ticket or slip. In some instances, a board may be used. We’ll imagine that the player is using a ticket in these instructions. The ticket will have rows or columns of boxes containing numbers from 1 through 49.

The player needs to choose six numbers between 1 and 49 and mark their choices on the ticket, usually by putting a cross through the number. In some versions of the game, multiple sets of numbers can be used at once. A common alternative to this routine is to have the numbers chosen at random by the computer. This saves the player time and is useful for those who suffer from indecision!

Players should make sure that all the other information on the ticket is filled in, including name and address and the type of game, or ‘draw’, being played. In some instances, players may be able to choose to play the same numbers for multiple weeks. The choices really do vary from game to game so players need to carefully read through all of the given information when making their decision.

Once the ticket has been completed, players need to hand it in to their retailer or put it through a terminal device themselves. A printout will be handed back containing the player’s selections; the most important thing for the player now is remembering to check his or her numbers when the draw comes up. Every year millions of dollars go unclaimed in lottery games, so remember first and foremost to keep your ticket safe and claim any prize within six months or a year, depending on the regulations!

If three or more numbers in the draw match those on your ticket, you’ve won a prize. Three, four or five number matches offer small to substantial winnings; five numbers plus the bonus offer a reward much greater, whilst matching six numbers means you’ve won the jackpot. If more than one person matches the six numbers then the prize will be shared equally between the winners.
